Getting the Power Right
It really comes down to how well your system turns electricity into UVC radiation. We don’t believe in “one size fits all.” We tweak the wattage and voltage to fit exactly how fast your ink cures or what your substrate actually needs. Here is the trade-off: low-pressure mercury lamps are incredibly efficient, but they aren’t very intense. If you need to crank up the line speed, you’ll probably need medium-pressure lamps. But there’s a catch. Those lamps gethot. If you don’t get your cooling fans right, the housing will overheat and you’ll kill the lamp life. It’s that simple.
The Hardware Side of Things
We make these lamps as drop-in replacements. Whether you’re dealing with standard G10s or some weird industrial socket, the fit has to be perfect. If the pins don’t make a clean contact, you get localized heat. That heat eats away at the electrodes. To fight this, we use high-purity quartz glass. It lets more UV light through, which means you can use fewer lamps to get the job done. Your power bill will thank you.
